Australian Trenching and Excavations is based in Seymour, which means the rural communities in the surrounding 3660 district are close to home. Hilldene and Highlands sit on the ridgelines and valley slopes immediately north and east of the Seymour township — mixed-character country with lighter soils on the rises and heavier clay in the low runs. Further out, Trawool and Whiteheads Creek sit in the Goulburn River valley to the north, where the terrain flattens and drainage becomes the dominant earthmoving challenge. Kerrisdale, Caveat, Dropmore, and Northwood push further still into the higher pastoral country between Seymour and the Strathbogie Ranges — more remote, but still within a comfortable day's work from our depot.

The earthmoving needs across these communities share some common themes: access roads and driveways that need proper construction or rehabilitation after years of use without maintenance; drainage systems that need to be installed or upgraded to manage surface water on properties with varying topography; and land clearing on blocks where regrowth timber has encroached on previously productive land. We've done all of this across the Seymour district and know the different ground conditions well enough to plan each job accurately without surprises.

Trawool in particular — running down through the Goulburn River valley past the Puckapunyal Military Area boundary — has some excellent rural properties with substantial earthmoving histories, and we've worked on several of them over the years.
